About Me
Over the last few years I have been able to explore my passion in theatre. I have always enjoyed painting pictures with light; I especially like the unknown and the unforeseen with designing.
Theatre allows us to create, explore and challenge the world and environment that we are in. I aim to facilitate this process either by being the designer or a production and technical practitioner. I find it exciting to explore and develop these ideas into reality, especially when a show takes months to develop as it listens and responds to audience and creative instinct.
I enjoy doing production and technical roles as they allow me to be practical in solving problems. I believe a large part of making theatre successfully, is to have the ability to suggest creative and imaginative solutions that work within production restraints. There needs to be a good understanding of the aesthetic and artistic quality required for a production. This allows me to present myself as a unique and rounded professional.
I am a Member of: The Society of British Theatre Designers; Equity ; Association of Lighting Design; Bectu and Association of British Theatre Technicians.
